A year of major changes in energy- renewable energy and energy efficiency are priorities
This year, four new laws are being prepared as a basis for large investments and production of heat and electricity from renewable sources, hydroelectric power plants, gas and solar power plants, as well as wind and biomass plants. The goal is to gradually shut down thermal power plants.
For the first time, Serbia will have Law on renewable energy sources, which does not only imply restriction on the construction of hydroelectric power plants in protected areas.
It is important to pay more attention to the production of energy from renewable sources.
The Law on Energy Efficiency anticipate a grand fund for the restructuring of dilapidated facades, windows and doors, which will be done through a public invitation.
Money in the fund will be provided both from the budget and through international financial institutions with which Government cooperates.
